DON’T ALLOW MARRIAGE TO BE LIKE A PEDESTRIAN CROSS WALK?

I know of a couple who were living together for more than 10 years, so they decided to make it official and get married and they got divorced in less than a year! So what could have changed? That must be one powerful piece of paper, right? No, but I’ll tell you what changed, perception!!! When we love someone so much that we are so excited and can’t wait to make them happy and then it turns into, this is now “your job”, the fairytale life this couple always dreamed about just went up in smoke! A piece of paper doesn’t do this, only people do. If there is one thing we ALL know for sure, it is that no one HAS to do anything. Yes, there will always be consequences. I believe marriage is so beautiful when two people really love each other and truly want to love each other forever. My only caution is, GET LOVE RIGHT FIRST!!!

What does any of this have to do with a pedestrian cross walk? I remember many years ago when it wasn’t “The Law” to stop your car and allow someone to cross first and back then when we stopped for someone, or a family, they almost always gave us a thank you wave to show their appreciation for allowing them to go first, but today I find that rarely happens, because, “it’s the law, you have to stop for me, right?”
Ok, so here is Love Story’s proposal (yes, pun intended) for new law, those who don’t thank you for stopping, are required to do 5 years of marriage counseling, even if they’re not married! I would bet that those who thank you for stopping today have the best relationships!!!
